Robert Raad currently lives and works in San Diego, CA. Raad’s practice is characteristically influenced by ecological, social and political investigations which are often exhibited using text, photography, video and installation. Educated in both ethnography and art, Raad’s work seeks between the words making up a line of text, and behind the frame of a photograph, critically addressing the position of the creator and the 'exhibited.'
